Best Ever Litter Pick!

The latest quarterly litter pick held on Saturday 15th September, World Cleanup Day, was the most successful so far. The majority of the credit for the large turnout goes to the Trust’s Facebook page. Follow us on facebook to hear about our events, current planning apps and other information about the village. Like our page and let your friends know so we can reach as many residents as possible. It was pleasing to see over forty people turning up, including quite a few children. Once again the event was supported by Weaverham Parish and CWAC councillors and our PCSO. Now there is a large core of volunteers, with the majority saying how satisfied they felt to be able to help the community. Their enthusiasm will encourage more to volunteer for the next event, which will be advertised on the Facebook site and the web site www.weaverhamtrust.co.uk.

Due this this large turnout every street in the village was covered and over 42 bags of rubbish were collected.

A big thank you to all who attended to help keep our village tidy.

The other good news of the week is that the buildup of litter and fly-tipping behind the Northwich Road shops has been cleared away by the county council Street Clean team, through the persistent efforts of our local CWAC Councillors.
