Weaverham Trust Autumn Litter Pick

Some of the twenty volunteers who turned out

The Weaverham Trust held its second litter pick since the Corvid19 outbreak, on Saturday 16th October.

Despite it being the coldest autumn day so far this autumn twenty stout people and children turned out. The areas cover included Northwich Road shops and environs, Lime Avenue shops, Wallerscote Road and Owley Wood Road area, Keepers Lane, Forster Avenue, Farm Road and surroundings, Lake House Field and Forest Street.

Thanks again for the regular support of our CWAC Councillors. Charles Fifield acted as taxi service to distant parts of the village, and full bag pickup.

The success of the Adopt-a-Street scheme has resulted in reduced litter over the village but old grotty spots still persist despite regular efforts. Twenty bags were collected.

There are still a few roads to be adopted the longest being Keepers Lane. If you are willing to adopt a street please contact the Trust through our website or Facebook pages.
