Join us on the 16th September as we launch the Petal Walks – developed in partnership with Saltscape, at a community event with free entry for all village residents.

Our walk will begin at the Acton Bridge Parish Rooms at 11am and will finish at Bottom Pitch Meadow, off Owley Wood Road in Weaverham. The walk will go via St Mary’s church in Weaverham where people who would prefer to begin in Weaverham can join us. We hope to arrive at Bottom Pitch by 12:30pm where you can buy a packed lunch (or bring your own). Tea & Coffee will also be available and we hope to have a bouncy castle and face-painting for children too.

A speaker from the Mersey Forest Trust will be joining us to open the event and to introduce the Petal Walks. We’ll also have free maps available and you will see informational sign-age pop up at various key locations around the village.

The walks have been designed to be easily accessible for adults & children of all ages – however if you have any questions you can contact us and we’ll do our best to answer your queries.

    Many Thanks

      Hi Polly,
The walk starts in Acton Bridge at 11am with the “plan” that the walkers will arrive at Bottom Pitch Meadow (next to the Scout Hut in Owley Wood Road) by 12:30. I’m guessing St Mary’s to Owley Woods is 15-20mins, so I’d assume they’ll be at St Mary’s for anywhere from 12pm – 12:15pm. That’s an assumption though… If you get there for twelve and haven’t seen anyone by quarter past, I’d set off to Bottom Pitch. We’ll have plenty of signage out near the scout hut. Hope to see you tomorrow! (also hope the weather’s nice!)
