Ready for the off!
The Winter Litter Pick on Saturday 29th January 2022 was one of the busiest and most productive held to date. Over 40 bags were collected by over 30 people plus the Weaverham Sea Scouts Beavers and Cubs.
Unfortunately the chilly weather turned to a heavy rain storm and the pick was terminated early so that people could dry off.
Thanks to our CWAC Councillors for their help. Paul Williams and Charles Fifield for the bag collection and Gillian Edwards for her solo litter pick later.
The high winds of this winter have resulted in more litter than usual being blown about, and bins and recycle boxes being overturned. Another sign of the times is the number of dropped face masks.
